In art and technology classes, we will demystify the workings of animations, games, and electronic devices, exercising our creativity in these mediums. The complexity of many digital devices often leads us to believe that creating a game, for example, requires being a computer genius. Just as we can create with traditional art materials such as paint and sculpture, we can also view the digital environment as a field for artistic experimentation.
Instructor introduction:
I am Vanessa Nascimento, an art and technology educator. Since 2010, I have been teaching children, teenagers, and adults about the possibilities of creating with digital technology, including games, animation, and electronics. I am also the co-founder of LINCE Project, an artistic collective that organizes indoor and outdoor events combining creativity and technology in Brazil.
